HEALTH CHECK GUIDELINES:

Please take a few minutes to read carefully the notes before Blood test, X-ray and Ultra-sound to have the most accurate result

BEFORE EXAMINATION, PLEASE REGISTER AT THE RECEPTION COUNTER - 1ST FLOOR.

BLOOD TEST: Should not eat or drink anything except water for 9 to 12 hours prior the test. And the best time to have a fasting-blood test is in the morning.

THE URINE TEST: Before the urine is collected, please clean the skin around the urinary opening. You will urinate a little into the toilet, stop momentarily, and then urinate again into the sterile container provided by the Hospital to catch the urine in "midstream". The container shouldn't touch your skin. The specimen will be sent to the laboratory for testing.

PAP-SMEAR TEST:

The Pap test can tell if you have an infection, abnormal (unhealthy) cervical cells, or cervical cancer.

+ The test is only recommended for sexually- active women

+ Not suitable to do Pap-smear test in the following situations:

- During menstruation

- Vaginal bleeding

- Vaginitis

- Taking medication for vaginitis treatment (vaginal route). In this case, you can cancel the test and do it in the next month after menstruation.

- Pregnancy

- Not yet have sexual relation.

+ The best time to do the pap-smear is 15 days after the first day of menstruation. Or from 5 to 7 days after you finish your period. You can discuss with your doctor for more specific instructions

ABOUT X-RAY AND ULTRA-SOUND.

Do not have X-ray if you are pregnant or suspicious of pregnancy.

CHEST X-RAY: Not apply to pregnant women or suspicious of pregnancy. The test will take approximately 5 minutes.

MAMMOGRAPHY( if any): Not apply to pregnant women or suspected pregnancy. The test should be taken about a week after you finish your period. Do not use cosmetics in the chest, armpits area before scanning. In case you had a breast augmentation surgery before, please inform our technician or doctor in advance. The test will take approximately 20 minutes.

ABDOMINAL ULTRA-SOUND (if any): If you have gallbladder, pancreas problems, please avoid eating for at least 4 hours before the test. For evaluation of pelvic floor disorders such as bladder, uterus, appendage, prostate ...remember to keep a full bladder for the test. The test will take approximately 10 to 20 minutes.

MRI: Please inform the medical team if you have electronic implants (Pacemaker, hearing aids…) and follow the specific instructions of our technician. The test will take approximately 15 to 30 minutes.

The total time of the health check is usually from 3.5 to 4 hours. You will be served a light breakfast after the blood test.
